What is a musical comedy defined as? How many jokes does it need to be considered a comedy? Tonight was a strange performance because in addition to a few technical flaws, people laughed entirely too much. There are so much many dramatic and poignant moments that laughter just disrupts the intensity of a scene. Am I the only one that does not think that the king and I is a comedy? I consider a show like The Music Man to be a musical comedy but I would consider the king and I as a musical play. Well, that's my thought for the day. Goodnight.
