Today has been such a long day. I had to be at a very early tech rehearsal which is always the most tedious part of the theatre process. Then, there were two dress rehearsals where I watched and listened carefully while I took notes. My breath was taken away by the stunning beauty of the costumes and the scenery. The orchestra is incredible. There are still two rehearsals before we open tomorrow night, so it's going to be fantastic because it was already great tonight. I can't wait to sit back and relax while I enjoy the opening night performance. I don't play for this show because there is no piano in the orchestration. I'm exhausted now and I must sleep, but this has been the most epic day of the summer so far. I'm so excited for opening, but for now, goodnight.
