Spamalot is a monster of a show. The costumes, sets, music, lighting, and sound are all crazy and over the top. There are a ton of scene shifts, quick changes, and other things that make the lives of actors and techies very challenging. We put all of these elements today together for the first time. Tech is a tedious nightmare, but once it all works, the painstakingly long hours are worth it. We had several glitches today and I wonder how we will be ready for opening tomorrow. I know it will come together somehow. It always does. And then, when it does, the magic of theater becomes alive and it's thrilling. Now I'm exhausted. Goodnight.
